SAAQ reimbursement rates

Since the introduction of four new medical reports in the spring of 2010, the SAAQ has modified the maximum amount reimbursed for filling out a medical report. The amounts vary depending on the report and are generally lower that the rates set out in the Federation’s grid of proposed rates for non insured services and accessory fees. These amounts are:

Initial medical report: $25

Medical Assessment report: $70

Medical Progress report: $70

Medical aftereffects report: $65

Intitial Medical Report
The rapport médical initial (initial medical report) must be filled out by the doctor during the first consultation with the person following the accident. Along with the form is a receipt for the reimbursement of fees. The form and the receipt must be given to the patient, who will send them to the SAQ along with his or her claim.

Other medical reports

The other forms contain additional information to help the SAAQ understand the progress of the patient’s medical condition.

For more information, read the section dedicated to the reports on the SAAQ Website
